This year I'm giving cookies for Valentines Day hand made by yours truly. Sugar cookies, to be exact, in the shape of large X's and O's. Nope, no sappy cards or itchy underwear from this kid this year. By the time I finished making the dough, I was covered in flour, the kitchen was a semi-disaster, and I was standing in the middle holding a sticky wad of cookie dough because I forgot to flower my hands well enough before I took it out of the bowl. Thank goodness my roommate was here to save me with a well-floured surface on which to put the dough.
The only thing left to do is paint them with colored frosting, bright sugar and some gooey stuff that comes in a tube.

I bought Digital Diaries by Natacha Merritt while I was there. The first I'd heard of it was on the Nerve.com show thats on HBO. If sex isnt taboo in your household, I recommend it for your coffee table too. 5 stars.
